It is with sadness, and yet a sense of peace, that the family of Alice
Stephenson announce her passing on April 4, 2018 at the age of 83 after a
courageous battle with dementia.
Alice was born on May 4, 1934 in Gadsby, Alberta. She married Al Stephenson in 1955 and moved to RedDeer in 1963, where she enjoyed her life surrounded by family and friends. She and Al were married 52 years before his passing in 2007. Alice was a thoughtful, loving woman who will be remembered for her kindness and care of others. She was well known as a singer and keyboard player who spent most of her life entertaining.
Alice will be fondly remembered by the many who listened to her perform with The Triads, Sweet Adeline’s, several dance bands, Country Sunshine and her husband, Al.
Alice will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her three children, Brian (Chris), Cheryl (Cindy) and Barry (Monika), four grandchildren, Joe (Lori), Erin (Kyle), Elea, Kai, and five great grandsons. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Joyce Boyce and her daughter Cindy (Brent), and many generations of the Stephenson clan.
A Memorial Service in Alice’s honour will be held at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, on Thursday April 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
