Alice Eleanor Wilson (nee Finley)

WILSON (Finley), ALICE Eleanor passed peacefully on November 9, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
Alice was born to Freeman and Edith Finley November 24, 1927 in Regina, Saskatchewan and was raised on the family farm at Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan. Married in June 1951, settling in Red Deer County in 1959; Alice raised her family and remained in her home until 2015.
Throughout her working career, Alice was steno for various legal and medical firms, as well as the Red Deer Fire Department. For many years, Alice and Bruce McKay embraced life together, including two successful janitorial businesses.
Alice is survived by her loving, devoted husband Bruce; four daughters, Gwen (Dennis) Ogonoski, Lynn (John) Davis, Joann (Randy) Bridge, Eileen (Ross) McEwen; four stepchildren, Bob (Annie) McKay, Kathy (Ray) Colliou, Dawna McKay-Thomassen, Louise McKay, 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a sincere Thank you to the Sylvan Lake Home Care and Michener Extendicare for their wonderful care and service. A very special Thank you to Dr. Susan Konynenbelt for her compassionate care for our mom over so many years.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Best Western Plus Hotel, 5027 Lakeshore Drive, Sylvan Lake, Alberta, from 2 to 5 p.m.
