Alice "Elaine" Dunn

Elaine Dunn of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the age of 85 years. A phenomenal teacher, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and wonderful friend, she will be missed by all.
Elaine taught at Maryview School in Red Deer where she shared her love of learning and friendships with her students and fellow teachers. She was also a faithful member of St. Leonard-On-The-Hill Anglican Church where she enjoyed many years of faith and fellowship.
If you knew Elaine through her many and various activities, then you were her friend. Her heart was full of love and she shared that with all those she met throughout her life.
Elaine is survived by her son Jim (Jodi); daughter Maureen (Allan); grandchildren Shaun (Trisha), Mike (Tracy); great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Kaitlyn, Conall and Chelsea; step-grandchildren Nicole, Cody, Mark Chris, Athena, Chalisse and Aylissa and thirteen step-great-grandchildren. Also to cherish Elaine’s memory are brother-in-law John (Linda; nephews Andy, Chris and their families; cousins Aileen Doris, Sheena, Scott, Janice and their families as well as other extended family members, Elaine’s church family and many friends.
Elaine’s family would like to send a sincere “Thank You” to the management and staff of Rivera Inglewood for the care and compassion shown towards their Mom. She loved you all!
A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, 3942 – 50 A Ave, Red Deer AB T4N 4E7.
