Adair Don Richardson

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we mourn the loss of Adair Don Richardson. The Lord took Adair home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 after sustaining a critical head injury.
Adair was one of a kind. He lived his life on his terms, choosing a life of solitude and contentment with what he had. Born in Regina on February 5, 1971, his entrance into the world was fast and furious, barely making it to the hospital before his arrival. Growing up in the small town of Riceton, Saskatchewan, Adair then moved with his family to Red Deer, Alberta in 1984. He graduated high school and had numerous jobs throughout his working career. His talents took him from waitering, to lawn care, postal service to grocery produce, and finally landing in construction. Like his dad, Adair could build and he did that well.
Adair’s true passions were his love for dogs, the outdoors, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, playing darts, watching curling, and cooking. He was the family chef, and we are all going to miss his gourmet meals, along with that classic Roughrider’s jacket he always wore….and those hard to forget Roughrider shoes!
Although Adair never had a dog of his own, he had many furry friends in the neighborhood and would never pass up the opportunity to meet the next one around the corner. His friendly demeanor, humor and kindness made it a pleasure to be in his company, and the dogs knew that! He always had a few treats in his pocket for his next new friend, but need I say Holly, his little girlfriend next door, was special in his heart.
Adair has left us too soon, leaving behind his loving parents, Eldon and Marilyn Richardson, siblings Blayne (Donna) Richardson and family, Kim (Stacy) Barnes and family, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry him in their hearts. His time with us was far too short, and we were not ready to say goodbye. Though our hearts ache with his loss, we will forever cherish the memories we have with Adair and find comfort and strength in the promise of God’s grace and Everlasting life.
A private family service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made in Adair’s honor to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #35, 2810 – Bemner Ave., Red Deer AB T4R 1M9, as Adair was an avid dart player and highly respected the veterans who fought for our country.
