Miss Chloe Rylan Becher of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully, with her family and friends by her side, in Edmonton, Alberta, on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the young age of 20 years. Chloe passed away as a result of a medical emergency sustained on November 4, 2024. Chloe was born on July 25, 2004, at Edmonton, Alberta to Ryan and Lorrie Becher. She attended Kindergarten through Grade Two at St. Anthony’s School in Drayton Valley, Alberta. Chloe and her family moved to Red Deer and she completed the remainder of her schooling with Red Deer Catholic Schools, graduating from Notre Dame High School in 2022. After graduation, Chloe attended Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts, on a partial Hockey Scholarship for two years. She returned to Alberta in the Spring of 2024 and was continuing her studies in Edmonton at Grant MacEwan University. Chloe was a vibrant, talented, kind, young woman. She was a natural leader, extremely hard worker, generous gift giver, and a fierce competitor. Chloe was a planner and an organizer – she made plans and looked forward to time spent with friends and family. She was a member of the Red Deer Marlins Swim Club, swimming with the club from 2013 until 2020, and coached from 2022 – 2024. Chloe played hockey in Red Deer, finishing her Minor Hockey career with the Red Deer U18AA Sutter Fund Chiefs in 2022. Chloe touched many lives in her short time with us. She was easy to love and loved deeply. Chloe met William Mrazek in the Spring of 2022, and their love flourished, despite school and work commitments. Chloe will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Ryan and Lorrie Becher; her brother, Rhett Becher; and her boyfriend, William Mrazek. Chloe will also be sadly missed by her grandfather, Victor Callaghan; her aunties and uncles, Lauranna Charette, Todd Becher, Derek Becher, Scott Becher (Heather), Kirby Becher, Jason (Veronica) Becher, Blair (Michela) Becher, Lori Becher, Doug (Pam) Callaghan and Lynn (Evered) Butler; her cousins, Emilie Charette (Landon), Isabelle Charette (Corbin), Nico Charette, Jared Becher (Hannah), Eric Becher, Kailin Becher, Alexa Becher, Devon Becher, Shea (Brittany) Becher, Vance Becher, Wyatt Becher, Bennett Becher, Heath Becher, Jacob Becher, Mitchell Callaghan (Shae), Hailey Callaghan (Trevor), Michael (Christine) Butler, Parker Butler (Betty) and Ian Butler; her close friends, Keirsen Kobi and Madison Pysyk and her special pet, Maple, as well as many other family members, dear friends, teammates from Red Deer Minor Hockey Sutter Fund Chiefs, Red Deer Marlins Swim Club, and the Anna Maria College Amcats Hockey Team in Paxton. Chloe was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Henry and Luella Becher, her maternal grandmother, Betty Callaghan and her auntie, Tracy Becher (wife of Kirby Becher).
