Posted Jan 20, 2022 | 3:50 PM
Zach was born and raised in Innisfail. He was a vibrant shining son, who had a smile and a laugh for everyone he met. Zach was also a very competitive person and showed it in every hockey and lacrosse game. He played for Innisfail Flyers, Innisfail Phantoms and Olds Junior Stingers. Zach and his teams won many awards and championships. He was fluent in French and spent three months in France as an exchange student. He graduated from the Innisfail High School in 2021 and went to work at Isolation Equipment Service as a Valve Technician.
He was so very proud of everything he accomplished. He loved being a hockey referee for the last six years and always came home with a story about the games. Zach is survived by his loving family; his Mom Annette and Brother Declan, Grandma Jamie, Grandpa Richard, Aunt Pam, Uncle Greg (James and Leland), Uncle Marty, Aunt Pam (Shaelene, Brielle and Devon) and numerous extended family and BFF’s. Zach is pre-deceased by Great Grandpa and Grandma Chalmers, Grandma and Grandpa Wakeford and Aunt Marilee, Uncle Lance and his Cousin Paul.
