It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the family of Tracey Lynn Blokland of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, announce her sudden passing due to a medical condition, on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the age of 26 years. Tracey was born in Winchester, Ontario and grew up in Brinston, Ontario. Tracey met the love of her life, Alex and moved to Alberta in 2019. This is where she called home. She loved spending time with her family and friends, playing games, golfing, bowling, having her nieces and nephews over for sleepovers, and traveling and lounging in the pool or hot tub. Tracey was the loving wife and best friend of Alex Scarizzi, and a dog mom to Mocha. She was the loving daughter of Sid and Nancy Blokland, and sister of Lesley McGill (Nick) of Red Deer County, Cory Blokland of Blackfalds, and Karen Bristow (Corey) of Sainte Marthe, Quebec. She was the loving daughter-in-law of Mario and Tracey Scarizzi of Ottawa, and sister-in-law of Michael Scarizzi (Michelle) of The Yukon. Tracey will fondly be remembered by her nieces and nephews Gavin, Abby and Melody McGill, and Grant and Jasper Bristow. A Funeral Service was held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. MST. Following the service, an open reception and buffet dinner will be held at Nick and Lesley’s property for some yard games, some of Tracey’s favorite food and drinks, and for paying respects, and sharing memories with both the Blokland and Scarizzi families.
