Taran Kovacs of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at home on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the age of 28 years. Taran was born on December 18, 1995 in Calgary, Alberta. In December of 2000, our family moved to Innisfail, Alberta, where Taran grew up. His love of sports and the outdoors was matched only by his love of making music that made people dance. At the age of 9 years, Taran experienced kidney failure, which started a 19 year long journey of challenges and successes. In this time, Taran grew into the Southern Alberta Kidney Family. Each year he actively participated and volunteered with the Kidney March to raise funds for research. Taran travelled his journey and life just as he did when he travelled the paths of the camp in his golf cart, without fear and dedication in helping those around him. Sadly, on Monday, February 19, 2024 that journey came to a sudden end. Taran will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Tina and Tom Kovacs of Innisfail, Alberta and his two brothers, Anthony (Tanym) Kovacs of Victoria, British Columbia and Tyler (Sebeana) Kovacs of Nanaimo, British Columbia.
