Scott Michael Zaboschuk of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the age of 30 years. Scott was Born in Red Deer, Alberta on August 19, 1994 to Robert Zaboschuk and Patricia Keith. Scott went to school in Lacombe, Alberta and made many lifelong friends. Scott enjoyed many sports including basketball, golf, and swimming. He was a member of a youth Bowling Club and a Scouts Canada Beaver, when he was little. Scott could often be found playing video games as he had all the consoles. Scott also cherished fishing and camping trips with his dad, especially at Peers Lake, Saskatchewan, where he caught a few big ones. Scott and his special big brother, Danny, were inseparable, whether it was a challenge playing video games, catching the biggest fish, playing cards or swimming. They even had a chance to work together at A and W, where Scott worked for about two years. Scott loved the outdoors, enjoying photography or a long walk with his two furry companions, Charlie and Stan. Scott moved to Red Deer in 2018 with hopes of getting a job and making some new friends, but it wasn’t meant to be. His declining health kept him home or, periods of time spent at the hospital, until his passing. Scott will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Robert Zaboschuk and Patty Keith; his brother, Danny Zaboschuk; his aunt and uncle, Ray and Linda, his aunt, Linda, his aunt and uncle, Glenda and Darren, his uncles, Henry and Gordon, his very special grandma, Zaboschuk and many special cousins. Scott was predeceased by his grandma and grandpa, Keith, his grandpa, Zaboschuk, his uncles, Randy and David, and his best friend, Steve. A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Scott’s honor may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice.
