Miss Megan Mohr originally from Edmonton, passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the age of 33 years. Megan spent most of her early years in Red Deer, until she moved to Edmonton to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics Degree at the University of Alberta, graduating with Honors. She eventually returned to reside in Red Deer. To say Megan was brilliant would be an understatement. As many of you who knew Megan though, know she didn’t always take the easy road. In fact, Megan’s path over the past several years was very difficult. In the past two years, her brilliance shone in a very different way. Bravely, on her recovery journey. Megan made many friends and added light to their journeys as well. We are so proud of the positive influence she had. Megan had a big heart in more than one way. She showed compassion and respect as she helped many along the way. Unfortunately, her big heart gave out just as she was ready to begin a whole new chapter. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece, and feel for each and every one of you who shares in that grief. We are sorry for your loss. Megan shied away from being the center of attention, and as such, we will respect her wishes not to have a service. She is now safe in the arms of her Mom. Papa, Bumpa and Sassy are there too! Please honor Megan’s legacy by spending just a bit more, and especially your time, to give someone a hand up. Be kind to one another. Be kind to yourself. Care for each other and take care of yourself. Love and miss you always, Megan, aka Bub, aka Megbee, aka Meggie-moo, aka Meg, aka Mo Mo, aka Megpie, aka…(whatever you remember Megan fondly as) Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
