WEMP (COOMBES), Joellene
1988 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Joellene Wemp ‘Coombes’ on Tuesday,
May 27, 2025 at the age of 37 years. Joellene’s sudden departure has left a profound void in the hearts of
all who knew and loved her. Joellene’s heart overflowed with love and kindness. She was always the first
to offer help and opened her home to many, creating a space of warmth, acceptance, and laughter.
Thoughtful and generous, Joellene was also fiercely honest – never afraid to speak her mind or stand up
for what she believed in. She lived life on her own terms. A passionate reader, Joellene could often be
found with her nose in a book. She adored animals and treasured every moment spent with them. Joellene
also loved camping and gathering with friends around a fire, sharing stories and laughter late into the
night. Her generosity extended throughout her community. Joellene volunteered her time at libraries,
bookstores, and thrift shops, always eager to support others and share her love of reading. She made sure
everyone she loved knew how cherished they were, and her kindness touched all who crossed her path.
Joellene will be lovingly remembered by her beloved daughter, Heaven Wemp; her mother, Linda
Coombes; her sister, Robin Thring; her brothers, Jody wemp (Kelli), Jason wemp (Candice), and Edward
Thring (Tania); as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and her grandparents, Jim and Barbara
Coombes. She was predeceased by her father, George Wemp. She leaves behind a powerful legacy of
love, courage, and unforgettable memories. A Celebration of Joellene’s life will be announced at a later
date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her memory to a charity supporting literacy, animal
welfare, or another cause close to her heart. Rest peacefully, “Baby Joe” Your light will never fade.
