1987 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Aaron Bruce Joki of Red Deer, Alberta, with his loving family by his side, on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the age of 37 years. Aaron was born on August 9, 1987, in Dinsmore, Saskatchewan. Aaron started his schooling in Dinsmore, continued his education in Rosthern, and then Saskatoon when the family moved. Aaron and his sister, Kimberly, moved back to Dinsmore, where they spent their teenage years living with their dad and enjoyed living in small town Saskatchewan. Aaron dabbled in hockey growing up, but his passion was soccer. As a young adult, his creative side presented itself, where he learned to play guitar, sing, and write a few songs. Music was Aaron’s joy, he always loved to pull out his guitar and sing. He also had other creative outlets, such as bracelet making with beads and leather, and he even tried charcoal drawing and painting. Work brought Aaron to construction, the Oilfield as a Pipefitter, and most recently, he worked in car sales. He took great pride in his appearance as he said it made him feel good to dress well. Aaron’s greatest joy in life was when his daughter, Adalyn, was born on January 12, 2019. Adalyn was the love of his life and his pride and joy. He was a loving, kind, gentle, father, who enjoyed playing, crafting, baking, spending time in the great outdoors together. Aaron would often be found kayaking, mountain climbing, and hiking. Aaron will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Adalyn Grace Joki; his mom, Connie MacKenzie; his sister, Kimberly Joki; and his niece, Kaiya Butler. This is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
