Mr. Derrick James Sawyer of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 39 years. Derrick was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta and loved all animals, especially his beloved cat, Jeffery. Derrick loved to spend his time skateboarding, building computers, cooking for his family, and most importantly, telling his family what he thought was ‘the best’. Derrick loved his family dearly and held each and every one of them close to his heart. Derrick will by lovingly remembered by his mother, Terralyn Carr, his stepfather, Chris Mason, his sister, Carla Nadon, his sister, Chrystal Sawyer (Noel Crawford), his aunt and uncle, Kathy and Jeff Sawyer (Terri Armstrong), his nieces, Jessielynn (Eric) Alfano, Alanna, Raelee, Alexis and Kyra, his nephews, Ethan and Jerome, and his great nieces, Nyxia and Avaleen Alfano. Derrick was predeceased by his father, Maurice Nadon, and his cat, Jeffery.
