HANSEN, Laurie

Our lovely Laurie left us unexpectantly and suddenly on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the age of 43 years. Left to mourn her memory are her three beautiful children: Kate, Franny and Matthew Hansen; her parents Dan Dean and Patricia Macdonald; her four brothers: Jim Dean (Celine), Bob Dean (Felicia), Peter Dean (Janet) and Matthew Dean (Rachel) and her sister Marie Dean (Chris); several nieces and nephews; Sam, Zach, Isabelle, Zoë, Logan, Cassius, Frankie, Chloë, Tatum, Hannah, Daniel and Beckett; her Uncle Mike & Auntie Sylvia and Auntie Mary & Uncle Dave and several cousins. Laurie was an athlete and reader of good books. She loved to bake, cook and travel but her biggest passion was spending time with her three children. She enjoyed planning and celebrating events with them and her extended family. A Celebration of Laurie’s Life was held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287-67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. A Private Family Interment will be held at a later date. If desired, as per her children’s wishes, Memorial Donations in Laurie’s honour may be made directly to the Red Deer Women’s Shelter at www.cawes.com.
