KIEZIK, Amanda Lee
1979 – 2025
Amanda Kiezik (nee Baillon) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Red Deer Hospice on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 46. Born November 25, 1979, in Victoria, British Columbia, she was a cherished gift to Patrick and Linda Baillon, who persevered through challenges and were blessed with their daughter.
From an early age, she embraced life with spirited energy. A tomboy at heart, she preferred the company of boys, sidestepping the drama that often-accompanied girlhood. She adapted with resilience to the military lifestyle, forging friendships with ease and radiating warmth wherever she went.
Her love of travel and adventure carried her to new places, each journey celebrated and each experience treasured. Over the years, she lived in Victoria, Cold Lake, Chatham, New Brunswick, Moose Jaw, Calgary, Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House, and Parkland County, each community becoming part of her story.
Motherhood, she felt, was her greatest achievement, a role she embraced with boundless love and devotion. She nurtured her children with warmth and unwavering care, treasuring every moment spent with them. Equally, she was profoundly proud of her calling as a firefighter, devoting herself to serving others, standing with courage in the face of danger, and lifting her community through acts of compassion and strength. Her life was a testament to both love at home and service beyond it.
A devoted crafter, she created beauty with her hands and poured love into each piece. A true lover of animals, she cared for them with tenderness and joy. She found peace by the ocean, where the rhythm of the waves seemed to embrace her spirit.
Her spirit was bold yet tender, and she treasured the people and places that shaped her journey. Those fortunate enough to be welcomed into her circle of friends knew her unwavering loyalty. She would stand beside them through anything, always giving of herself with selfless devotion.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend, Dallas; their four children, Hunter, Bailey, Cheyanne, and Wyatt; parents, Patrick and Linda; brothers, Bradley (Jacquie) and Colin (Allison); aunts, Karen (Jerry), Ellen, and Janet; cousins, Whitney and Mackenzie (Dwight); and her nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Amanda’s Life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta. The family has asked that those attending wear colourful clothing, preferably with a Christmas theme. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
