1974 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Sherry Elaine Carlson. Sherry passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 50 years. Sherry was born on December 25, 1974, in Rimbey, Alberta. Sherry will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and the steadfast love she gave to everyone around her. For twenty-four years, she served as a devoted caregiver to Norma, becoming more than a caregiver, but her forever friend. Sherry lived with a heart open wide – to family, to friends, and to anyone who needed kindness. She will be remembered most for the way she loved: fully, unconditionally, and without hesitation. She will be lovingly remembered by her mamasita, Sheila Carlson; her sister, Monica (Neil) Sagan and their children, Cali, Ella, and Noah Sagan; and her brother, Kevin (Krista) Carlson and their children, Donovan and Cameron Carlson. Sherry’s love and gentle spirit will live on in each of them. Sherry was predeceased by her beautiful daughter, Kirsten Allison Lyn Denney; her stepfather, Eric Bryer; her father, Ken Carlson; and her sister, Rebecca Lynn Carlson. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life. Sherry’s life was defined by her kindness, her deep empathy, her love and compassion towards others and her resilience to all that life threw at her. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Always and forever. A Funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 – 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment followed at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer County, Alberta.
