1973 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of David John MacArthur announces his peaceful passing at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the age of 52 years. David leaves behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew, and uncle and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. David was born on March 9, 1973, in Walkerton, Ontario. He resided in Rocky Mountain House with his mother, Jeanie, where he spent his life creating lasting bonds and memories with family and friends. David was a quiet man who loved the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and especially sitting by a fire. David also had a deep love for animals. He had a special bond with his turkey, whom he named Houdini, and he spent many happy hours on his sister’s farm, riding the quad, caring for the animals, or simply sitting back on the porch, enjoying a cold drink. David will be forever loved and sadly missed by his grieving family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Jeanie, his sister, Tammy and her husband, Lorne; Davids brother in law, his grannie, Edie, his aunt, Dale and her husband, Terry, his niece, Candace, his nephews, Curtis and Nathan, and his wife, Audra, his cousins, Kayla, Cody, Bayleigh, and Lance, and his caring friend, Linda. David was predeceased by his father, John, his best friend, Jack, and his uncle, Jerry. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
