Cynthia Ball of Eckville, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 51 years. She was born on June 17, 1973, in Regina, Saskatchewan to Ken and Diane Doidge. Cynthia attended school in Raymore, Saskatchewan where she graduated in 1991. In her early years after high school, she excelled at many different careers such as EMT, hairdressing, legal assistant, and completed a term in the military reserves. Cynthia moved to Alberta, where she started working in finance and as the service manager for car dealerships. She met Brad and they fell in love almost instantly and were married within the year. As grandchildren came along, Cynthia always had a surprise sitting at their doors via Amazon which created many anxious moments between spouses, until they realized that all the boxes were from Grandma. She adored her grandchildren and could not wait for the arrival of two more this September, (Kaitlyn and Evan) and February, (Tierra and Ryan) of 2025. Cynthia and Brad enjoyed fishing & hunting adventures, but spring bear hunting was her favorite. Brad always enjoyed her willingness to be on board whenever he came up with a plan, good or bad, she could read him like a book, and she would never say no. She was a pillar to all her children in their time of need, through many screw-ups and she found the positivity and calm in everything. Cynthia finally found the job of her dreams as an insurance broker when she took over Phyllis Ball’s book of business in 2014. Helping her clients was always her passion. She was always praised by her clients for her dedication as she was always taking calls at night and on the weekends. Cynthia would find humor in everything and her Facebook posts throughout her journey are memorable and book worthy. She was loved by all and will be missed by so many people that she came into contact with in her much too short life. Cynthia is lovingly remembered by her spouse, Brad Ball of Eckville, Alberta, her mother, Diane Doidge, Raymore, Saskatchewan, her children, Evan (Samantha) Doidge of Raymore, Saskatchewan, Kirstin (Travis) Ball of Red Deer, Alberta, Kaitlyn (Evan) Burton of Blackfalds, Alberta, Karlee Ball of Red Deer, Alberta, Tierra (Ryan) DeKroon of Markerville, Alberta, Tasha Doidge of Calgary, Alberta and Bethany Ball of Edmonton, Alberta. She will also be deeply missed by her five grandchildren, Max, Elsie, Desmond, Ezra and Karter and her brother, Conrad (Sherri) Doidge of Regina, Saskatchewan. She is predeceased by her father, Kenneth Doidge and her mother-in-law, Phyllis Ball. The family would like to thank Charles Rasmussen and his family for all the care and help he provided for Cynthia while Brad was away at work and the Obrigewitch family, Shane, Tammy, Dustin and Brandi for helping out so much at home while Cynthia was taking her treatments in Calgary. As well as a thank you to Red Deer Hospice staff and team, the family is forever grateful for the care Cynthia received during her most difficult time.
