Mr. Micheal Anthony ‘Mike’ Bellerose passed away suddenly, the result of a tragic accident, at Leduc,
Alberta, on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the age of 50 years. While his family and friends are shocked
by his death, they remain ever so thankful for his life. Micheal was born on March 28, 1972 in New
Westminster, British Columbia. The Bellerose family moved frequently during Mike’s early childhood,
before settling in Sylvan Lake in 1982. It was there that Mike began his lifelong pursuit of camping,
fishing, hunting, playing hockey, tattoos, and Harley Davidsons.
Mike had a strong work ethic, having enjoyed his employment on the drilling rigs, and the years spent
working in agricultural/processing plants. At one point, Mike was single-handedly responsible for the
daily operations of a large swine operation in Acme, Alberta. Micheal’s struggle with his mental health
and addictions eventually had a profound influence on the choices he made, as well as his ability to
maintain relationships. Yet, even while struggling with these demons, his kindness shone through, his
humour remained intact, and his presence and smile lit up every room he entered. Regardless of personal
circumstance, his heart remained kind. His family are deeply grateful for his contributions as a father, a
son, a brother, and an uncle. Mike was also a good friend to many. The times spent with Micheal are
precious and treasured memories now.
Mike will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jamie (Ryan), his granddaughter, Ella, his mother,
Sharon, his father, Cedric (Janette), his sisters, Cindy (Jeff), and Shelly (Agostin), his nieces, Lisa-Marie
(Ryan), Kimberly-Ann (Chase), Kamryn (Austin), and Lily, and his four great nieces. The family would
also like to acknowledge the love and support given to Mike for many years by Jada Van Slyke. Mike
was predeceased by his grandparents, his stepfather, Al Regnier, and his brother-in-law, Dave
MacKenzie.

A Private Family Interment of Micheal’s ashes will occur during a small intimate ceremony. The
Bellerose family asks that you realize no one is immune to the epidemic of addiction, which encumbers
our society. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Mike’s honor may be made directly to
a Treatment Centre, or to an Agency, which supports and treats those struggling with mental illness and
addictions. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at
