1970 – 2026

Mr. Curtis Shane Oxtoby passed away at Innisfail, Alberta on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the age of 55 years. Curtis was born in Innisfail, Alberta on September 26, 1970, where he went to school and later graduated. He grew up on the family farm and lived there until the year 2000, which is where he learned to love hard work and farming with his dad, until they sold the farm. Curtis will always be remembered for his love of sports, whether it was on the ball diamond, the golf course, in the bowling alley, or out on the river tubing or catching fish. One of his favorite hobbies was family campouts at his mom’s house with friends and family. He was always spending time doing what he loved with the people he loved. Curtis had a love for his first job at Dairy Queen, he then went onto work at Tri-S Fertilizer before joining his father who had started and ran his own trucking company and worked there until his father’s retirement. He then spent a decade working for Westfine Meats until his retirement this past December. Curtis met and married Pamela Omilusik in the year 2000. They welcomed two daughters, Shaina and Paige, before divorcing. Later in life, he met Michelle Taylor and they welcomed a son, Jeffery.

Curtis’ last few years he spent with his loving partner, Cathy Noble and her dog, Delta who he loved dearly. His greatest passion and joys in life were his children and grandchildren.

Curtis will lovingly be remembered by his partner, Cathy Noble, his daughters, Shaina (Justin) and Paige (Jayden), his son, Jeffery, and his grandchildren, Blake, Aurora and Beckett. Curtis was predeceased by his parents, Wayne Oxtoby and Sheila Averill and his sister, Tanya Oxtoby.

A Celebration of Curtis’s Life will be held at the Aberdeen Hall, 27406 Highway 590, Red Deer County, Alberta on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com.
