Mr. Tarlok ‘Koky’ Grewal passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 peacefully at his home in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 54 years. Koky was born on December 12, 1969 in Saraba, District Ludhiana, Punjab India, and came to Canada at the age of two. He was raised in Red Deer and graduated from Lindsay Thurber High School before moving to Calgary, Alberta to attend the DeVry Institute of Technology.  Koky then spent some time in California with family before returning to Red Deer to start a lifelong career as an Electronics Technician. He worked in Red Deer for over twenty-five years with various oil and gas companies, most recently with Baker Hughes. Koky was well known in the industry and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a gentle, kind and generous soul.  As an avid golfer, Koky loved to gather with friends and have a good time. He started the “Koky Classic” annual golf tournament with a small group of friends, and the tournament grew larger every year. The “Koky Classic” will be carried on in his memory by those friends who shared his passion for golf.  Koky battled with some health issues and although he was no longer able to work at the time of his passing, he was still determined to live life to the fullest, and to look at the positive things in life. He was always smiling, willing to lend a hand and was a thoughtful friend to the circle of people he considered family. Koky will be dearly missed by his mother, Jagmal Grewal, his sister, Amratpal Grewal, his sister, Debbie (Paul) Silva, his nephews, Ethan Silva and Dylan Silva, his niece, Kaylie Silva and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
