It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of George Gladue “Wheels” at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the age of 57 years. George was born on October 31, 1968 in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories to Richard and Rosie (nee Lepine) Gladue. Due to a tragic accident; George became a quadriplegic in 1991 and therefore had a very challenging life. He overcame many obstacles with the help and support of many great friends who meant the world to George. George loved the Lord and gave love to everyone that had the privilege to get to know him. He had a great sense of humour and always made everyone laugh. He was always positive and even through his greatest hardships; he found hope and strength to carry on. Until we meet again; Rest in Peace George. George will be sadly missed by his wife, Brenda Krahn; his daughter, Sasha and grandchildren, Aiden and Gia; his mother, Rosie; his sister, Darlene (Donald); his brother, Dwayne “Blinkie” (Charlene); as well as numerous family members and many dear friends. George was predeceased by his father, Richard Gladue and many family members. A Public Visitation took place at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2026, and 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 prior to service at Parkland Funeral Home. A Funeral Service for George was held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, June 15, 2026  at 12:00 p.m. Interment was at the “Garden of Serenity”, Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer County, followed the Funeral Service.
