It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family and friends of Anton M. Nerland, announce his unexpected and peaceful passing on May 11, 2021 at the age of 56 years. Anton was born on March 20, 1965 and spent all of his life on the family farm between Gleichen and Standard, Alberta. He excelled at school, graduating high school at the top of his class. He went on to graduate from Olds College in 1986 and take over the family farm. Anton was a kind, gentle and quiet man, always willing to help those in need and never one to complain. Although quiet, his dry sense of humour and willingness to see the best in any situation always lit up the room. Anton will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Megan and Ashley; grandson Leland; sister Sonya (Eric); close friend Sheila Ann; birth mother Gayle as well as numerous extended family members, neighbors and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Anton was predeceased by his parents, Orlan and Meryle. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation.
