RESTA, Jacqueline
1964 – 2025
With profound sadness in our hearts, we share that our precious loved one, Ms. Jacqueline Louise Resta, has gone before us. Jacquie passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 60 years, surrounded with the love of family. Jacquie left us far too early, missing out on many of the firsts in life. Jacquie was born on October 26, 1964, in Rimbey, Alberta, the last sibling to join the family and raised on the farm close by. Jacquie took her education in Rimbey prior to completing post-secondary studies in Red Deer. Jacquie spent many years in administrative capacities in Rimbey, Edmonton and then Red Deer, primarily with Life Insurance Companies. Jacquie held family ties at the highest level. Her two children were her world, regardless of where they were, her love was the unconditional kind with unwavering support through their educations and chosen extracurricular activities. Following in her footsteps, they both enjoyed sports. For many seasons in her life, baseball was never far away. Along with her ball games, Jacquie was ever busy bringing joy to many with her wonderful sense of humor. Jacquie’s love reached out to many, bringing joy, with a gentle nature and winsome smile to many a friend, family member or stranger alike. She touched many hearts and will be missed by many. Truly, a remarkable Sister! Jacquie is survived by her daughter, Jenna Sullivan and her son Connor (Sidney) Sullivan. As well, lovingly remembered by her siblings and their families and a very large extended family. Jacquie was predeceased by her parents, Silvio and Rilda Resta. Although your season was short, the many hearts you touched were a testament to the light shining anytime you were present. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, Memorial Donations in Jacquie’s honor may be made directly to the Youth HQ at www.youthhq.ca. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
