Mrs. Christine Else Goertzen (nee Trautrim) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, after a short battle with pancreatitis, with her family by her side, at the age of 59 years.

Christine grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, where she developed a love for music with her sisters, and her two closest friends, Kathy, and Anita. During those years, she was heavily involved in the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church.

After completing High School, she spent a year at the Capernwray Bible College in England, and later attended the University of Waterloo, graduating with a Degree in Geography.
Christine will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Larry; her daughters, Grace and Abigail; her grandson, James; her sisters, Nancy, Lisa, and Doris; as well as numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, in-laws and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Withrow Gospel Mission, 246 Withrow Road, Range Road 4-3, Withrow, Alberta on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Christine’s honor may be made directly to Prolife Alberta at www.prolifealberta.com or to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
