The passing of Mr. Ian Richard Allison of Red Deer, Alberta has come too soon. Ian passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the age of 59 years.

Ian was a gift in this life to all those that knew him. You could truly say, there was no one like him. He was smart, kind, funny and generous. He was a great mentor and loved to teach the right way. He was proud of those who grew from his time with them. He cared more about others much more than himself, loving unconditionally without judgment, unless you ….. 🙂

Ian’s love for his family was truly amazing. It was an honour to have always been, or to become, one of his. There was no greater feeling than to be in Ian’s heart.

Ian’s love for woodworking truly became perfected with the mentoring of his father. There was no greater influence in Ian’s life. Not a day went by that Ian didn’t talk to the memory of him. You could consider yourself fortunate if you received a culinary gift which always contained his “Top Secret” ingredient – LOVE.

His love for food and secret recipes was known by all, but you were only given the meal, never the “super top secret” recipe.

Ian’s passion for fishing was larger than the fish he caught. Anyone privileged to his stories knew his best lure was Sweet Chili Heat Doritos, and believe it or not it worked!

Ian will be missed by countless people; to which he has left his everlasting impact on. He has influenced so many to do their best, to never stop learning, strive for perfection, be patient and teach others. So to carry on with Ian’s tradition, don’t forget to give the people you appreciate the finger.
