With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patrick (Pat) (Faud) Williams, who courageously battled cancer and passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Olds Hospital.
Pat was born in 1960 to George and Margeret Isabelle (Peggy) Williams and was raised on the family farm in the Eagle Hill area. He attended Hainstock School and later graduated from Olds High School in 1978. During his high school years, he met his future wife Carol, and developed a passion for hockey, where he met some of his closest lifelong friends, and was given the lifelong nickname of Faud.
After high school, Pat purchased his childhood farm, where he worked alongside his father until his passing in 2004. Over the years, he took on various jobs, including working at Scott Hunter Auction Mart and driving trucks for Olds Fertilizers. Despite his many commitments, farming remained his true passion. In the early 2000s, he transitioned from raising feeder
pigs to cattle. On July 14, 1984, Pat married Carol, and together they built a beautiful life, welcoming their three sons: Brad, Cole and Todd. In 1992, they fulfilled their dream of building their forever home on Pat’s cherished farmland, where they raised their family. Pat was a devoted father who never missed an opportunity to be involved in his son’s lives. He spent countless winters at the hockey rink, coaching or assisting on the ice, and enjoyed snowmobiling with his boys and his friends. Summers were spent making treasured memories on the lake, a tradition his family and friends will continue to cherish.
Pat’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife of 40 years, Carol, his sons Brad (Kathryn), Cole (Aly), Todd (Sheryl), and his seven grandchildren: Jake, Hailey, Brooklyn, Duncan, Drew, Austin, and Raelynn. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharron Delauriel and Shirley (Rheo) Pilon; brother-in-law, Rick Hunter; and many close friends, neighbors, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Margeret, and his brother-in-law, Ed.
