Michael Dennis Daley

August 6th, 1959 – November 15th, 2025

It is with overwhelming grief we announce the passing of our husband, father, brother, and friend: Michael Dennis Daley. He passed away in the early morning of Saturday November 15th at his home in Olds, Alberta.

Michael was born August 1959 in Camrose, Alberta to a traditional farm family of 7 children. He grew up learning strong moral values and an amazing work ethic. After attending Olds College to complete the Agricultural Engineering Technology Diploma, he made Olds his forever home and grew his family here.

Michael will always be remembered as someone with a witty comment, random fact, or unbelievable story for any situation. If he wasn’t working at the Town of Olds, fighting water breaks and basement floods, he was found absorbed in history books or building a new shed.

While many would see him as a rough and stoic farm boy, those who knew him personally were lucky enough to experience the warmth and care he quietly provided.

He is survived by his 6 siblings (Lea, Rita, Jerry, Colleen, Jackie, and Dan) and families, wife of 32years Wendy, and 3 children (Valerie, Patricia, Luke)

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 105 in Olds, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers memorial may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Olds Food Bank
