Carol Ann Lyle, 62, “Momma Carol” passed away May 11, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family.
Carol was born September 12, 1959, in Calgary, AB to Ken and Evelyn Bergeson, lived in Calgary for her earlier childhood years, then moving to Sundre, Alberta, where she lived on the family farm by Bergen for many years. Carol married the love of her life, Larry Lyle on September 8, 1979 and enjoyed 42 years together. They were blessed with two children; Deana and Dustin. Carol worked as a nurse at the Sundre Rural Hospital for over twenty years. She did private home care nursing for several families in the central Alberta area, her passion being caring for them in their home, making nutritional foods, and just bringing comfort to them in their time of need. Carol was one of the hardest workers we knew, and that is evident in the park like yard at her home she loved to work in alongside her husband. Not a rock, piece of grass or flower was ever out of place. She loved to read, attend the grandchildren’s sports games and rodeos. One of Carol’s greatest loves was her horses. She and Larry were in the horse breeding business for a few years, when they bought their stud, Plain Special. She loved to make crafts, and was constantly building, painting, or creating wreaths for family and friends. She had a heart of gold, gave more than she ever received, put all her love and energy in making sure all of her family and friends were taken care of and she loved to cook and bake. She was an incredible Mom, Mother-in-Law, and Grandma. Carol’s greatest joy was her 5 grandkids and she loved each of them so deeply.
