1958 – 2025
Mr. Jeffrey Lawrence Emick of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the age of 66 years. Jeff was born and grew up on a dairy farm in Lynden, Ontario. He became a Master Corporal in the Canadian Military and was posted to a large air base at CFB Toronto. From there his posting went from the Arctic Circle to NATO Peacekeeping in the Golan Heights. His final posting was to CFB Suffield, Alberta, close to Medicine Hat, where he met his loving wife, Diana. Jeff was “Mr. Handyman” and could fix anything. He was meticulous with his vehicles and could drive anything. His last 25 years were spent in the Oil and Gas industry, both in the field and in management. He enjoyed golf and hockey and especially loved his summers at Lakewood Golf Resort just outside of Sylvan Lake. Jeff is survived by his wife Diana, brother Brian (Lori) Emick, his sister Carolyn (Don) Rous, numerous nieces and nephews, and his treasured dog Kianna. Jeff is predeceased by his parents Jean Gwendolyn and Michael Emick. There will be no funeral service at Jeff’s request.
