BOYCE, Lahny
1957 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lahny Patricia O’Dwyer Carberry Boyce, of Red Deer, Alberta, who passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the age of 67 years, after years of battling cancer. Lahny was born on November 29, 1957, to Corinne and Jim O’Dwyer in Calgary, Alberta. At the age of 6, she and her family relocated to Dawson Creek, British Columbia, where she grew up and attended school. In 1980, Lahny married her former husband Clarence (Beau) Carberry. In 1982, she began her journey as a mother. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Leah Dawn Carberry and Kaylea Rae Reid. In 2001, Lahny moved to Red Deer, Alberta, where she met her current husband, Murray Allan Harold Boyce. Lahny and Murray were married in 2006, spending 19 wonderful years together. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with Murray, especially to Punta Cana for their annual anniversary trip. Lahny will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Murray; her daughters, Leah and Kaylea; her stepchildren, Meagan, Brandon, and Courtney; her 10 grandchildren, Zoey, Ryker, Paisley, Grayson, Raelynn, Charlie, Cash, Jake, Thomas, and Holland; and her siblings, Joanne, Rick, Terry, Mike, and Tracy. Lahny leaves behind a huge hole in our hearts and will be greatly missed. She will always be admired for her tremendous strength, her crafting talents, and the love she gave and shared with so many. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished the gift of being an amazing, wife, mother and grandmother, lovingly known as ‘Mudder.’ This is not goodbye, but until we meet again. A Celebration of Lahny’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Crossroads Church, 38105 Range Rd 275, Red Deer County, Alberta.
