The family of Mrs. Donna May Campbell (nee Wallace) is saddened to announce her passing, at home, after a long and difficult journey with Multiple Sclerosis, in Didsbury, Alberta on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the age of 68 years. Donna was born in Calgary, Alberta to Don and Dorothy Wallace, and grew up with one younger sister, Christina. Donna graduated with honours from John G. Diefenbaker High School and worked for over twenty-five years in the Film Distribution Industry for Warner Bros., Universal Pictures and Landmark Cinemas. Donna was an active volunteer at Wildrose United Church and was also a Girl Guide Leader. She loved the water, competing in synchronized swimming with the Calgary Aquabelles in her teens, swimming laps at the pool on her lunchbreaks, and sailing with her family on Lake Windermere. Donna was a quiet and reserved person, but once you knew her, you appreciated her integrity and loyalty to family and friends. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Mac, her daughter, Stacy, her son, Eric, her daughter-in-law, Amber and her grandson, Sean. She will also be sadly missed by her extended family, and many friends and members of the community. The family would like to thank all the many Health Care Professionals involved with Donna’s care over the years, especially the Didsbury Home Care team who were a great support and helped Donna stay at home right until the end. If desired, Memorial Donations in Donna’s honor may be made directly to the MS Society of Canada at www.mscanada.ca, or to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
