It is with great sadness that the family of Eva May “May” McLeod announce her passing on September 18, 2026, at the age of 70 years. May was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, to Lawrence and Marion Bolen, she was the eldest of four daughters.

After high school, May spent time living in Red Deer, High Level, Grande Prairie, and Fort Macleod before returning to Rocky Mountain House to raise her family.

May spent nearly twenty years with the Wild Rose School Division as an Educational Assistant. She found great joy in supporting children and held a special place in her heart for every student whose life she touched. Outside of work, May found happiness in simple pleasures. She loved spending time in

her garden, nurturing flowers and plants, and enjoyed camping and making memories with family and friends in the outdoors. May’s proudest accomplishment was her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Kendall (Raccine) McLeod, Dixie McLeod (Nick Black), Lacy (Justin) Kerr, Scottie (Alicia) McLeod, and bonus son Brayden Toth (Aaliyah Shipton). She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Edith and Evelyn, grandchildren Raelene, Richelle, Taylor, Kade, Nixon, and Navy, great grandsons Odin and Haylen, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Georgina.

May will be remembered for her fierce spirit, unwavering determination, sharp wit, and deep love for her family. Her strength and resilience leaves a lasting legacy in all who knew and loved her. Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.
