Ross Douglas Boukall passed away at the Red Deer Hospice, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the age of 67 years. Ross will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Frieda Boukall of forty-seven years, his sons, Brett (Tricia) and Matthew (Stephanie), his daughter, Allison (Graham), and his grandchildren, Aidan, Reid, Kira, Ryder, Markus, Katelyn, Ashton, and Iris. Ross will also be deeply missed by his brother, Gary Boukall and his sister, Sharon Dean. He courageously met the challenges and devastation of cancer with grit, grace and humour. Ross enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life such as running, hiking, cycling, and spending time at the cabin with his family. He also loved to travel and has many fond memories of all the places he and Frieda travelled. Ross helped his kids with numerous renovation projects as he loved to build and fix things. He loved all of his grandkids very deeply and cherished spending time with them. A Memorial Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 40 Holmes Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend John Lentz Officiating. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Ross’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for providing such compassionate and dignified care to Ross.
