Mr. Jack Westera, known to be a loving husband, father, grandfather, good friend, and the infamous “Jack from Six-Pak”, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, August 4th, 2022. Jack was born in Lacombe, Alberta on December 20, 1955. Jack married Theresa on June 9, 1984 and they were happily married for thirty eight years. Jack and Theresa were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Jack grew up on the family farm west of Red Deer, Alberta and pursued careers in carpentry, residential and commercial construction. He was extremely passionate about music throughout his life and shared that passion playing music in the church and was a founding member of the band, Six-Pak. Jack was also very passionate about creating a beautiful backyard oasis full of flowers, trees, perennials, and birdhouses that he built. He collected yard ornaments which included items from his family farm. Much of his spare time was spent relaxing in the backyard listening to his music, visiting with friends, family, and playing with his beloved grandchildren.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa, his son, Jordan Westera (Kelsey), his daughter, Courtney Means (Seth) and his two grandchildren, Linden and Emery Westera. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Helen Pikkert, John Westera (Sheila), Rolf (Jaqueline) Westera and Jane (Jeff) Visser along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jack is survived and forever loved by many other extended family and friends across Canada and the Netherlands.
