It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Merkley Burley, who passed away peacefully Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the age of 69 years.
Merkley grew up across Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, where he developed a deep love for the open road. A dedicated and hardworking heavy equipment operator, he took pride in his work and was known for his steady hand and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, Merkley was most at home on two wheels. A passionate Harley-Davidson rider, he loved nothing more than hitting the open highway on one of his two bikes.
Merkley is survived by his two brothers Donald and Spencer; four nieces Misty, Ebony, Skylar, Ashley; nephews Austin, Jason and Taylor, who will remember him for his independent spirit, love of adventure, and quiet strength.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
