It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Carla Joy Pelletier of Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the age of 69 years. Carla was born on January 28, 1955, in Claresholm, Alberta, to Ethel and Wilfred Judson. She graduated from Lindsay Thurber High School and went on to earn her degree in education from the University of Alberta. Driven by her passion for teaching, she enjoyed a fulfilling career spanning over thirty years with Red Deer Public Schools. Carla began her journey at Normandeau in 1982, later teaching at Mountview and Grandview, before concluding her career with her retirement from Central Middle School in 2013. In addition to cherishing time with her family and friends, Carla had a deep passion for reading, supporting the Edmonton Oilers, and collecting purses and jewelry. She also adored caring for her dog, Gizmo. Known for her empathetic and generous nature, Carla had a remarkable ability to sense when others needed assistance. Her kindness and compassion have touched countless lives. Carla will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Maria (Kyle) Hansen, Rina (Tucker) New, as well as her soon to be grandson, her sister Faye Litven, her brother Randy (Marlene) Judson, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 03, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at The Holiday Inn and Suites, 33 Petrolia Drive, Gasoline Alley East, Red Deer County, Alberta.
