Mrs. Ruth Alice Bunton, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the age of 67 years. Ruth was a strong Canadian woman; a blend of Polish heritage from her mother, Helen Randolph and Metis heritage from her father, Roy Randolph. She was the first family member to graduate with an Education Degree from the University of Alberta. As an amazing educator, Ruth believed that the key to learning was to develop relationships with students, parents, colleagues and her community. Ruth was an exemplary teacher in the Edmonton Catholic, Fort Vermilion and Peace Wapiti School Divisions. Ruth was able to braid her two cultures together and was the heart and home for many family members. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Louis and their children, Jethro (Stacy), Samuel (Gloria), Charles (Justine), Natalie (Lee) and Abby (Michael); Ruth’s sisters, Rosemarie (Tim), Trish (Mel) and Linda (Al), her twin brother, Roy ‘Butch’ (Georgina) and her brother, Allen (Patsy). Ruth was predeceased by her father, Roy and her brothers, Allen, Joe, Dwayne and Gerald. Ruth’s legacy lives on in the lives of her grandchildren, Samantha, Jean, Jorja, and Aiden, whom she loved very much. This love also extends to her numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Ruth was a woman of faith; she believed in God, in life everlasting and the Catholic Church. She is with her creator, fully healed and surrounded by friends, family and her fur babies.
