After a short but fierce battle to overcome a devastating injury, Randy Brent Pross passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the age of 71 years. Randy was a man of various interests and career paths throughout his life, with a love of cars being at the forefront. One of his greatest joys in life was the many days and hours spent in the garage with his grandsons rebuilding classic cars, or playing with RC cars, or model trains. Weekends were often spent cruising with his wife, Phyllis, along with other members of the car club and then food, drinks and a few laughs. Randy and Phyllis enjoyed traveling and visited many interesting places over the years. Including, those here at home and abroad, and were often accompanied by good friends, Cyril and Rose, Mary and Dave, Holly and Russell and Tom and Pat. Ever the jokester, Randy would always keep you on your toes with his razor-sharp wit or a well-crafted prank, and always left people smiling and laughing. If needed, Randy would always have a piece of sage advice for those whom he loved. Randy will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life and “first wife,” Phyllis and his daughter, Terra (Tim), his grandsons, Colton and Brody and their partners, Taylor and Hayden. Randy also leaves behind many close childhood friends: Curtis and Corrine Feeg, Dennis and Elaine Thompson, and Glenn and Audrey Smith, as well as countless other friends, family and adopted grandchildren. The Family wishes to extend their huge thanks to the Lacombe Hospital, the Red Deer ICU and the Foothills ICU, for their unwavering professionalism, care and compassion during Randy’s time with them.
