Kimberly Ian (Kim) McBlane passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 69 years. Kim was born in Lacombe, Alberta on January 9, 1953. Kim worked at various tire shops in Red Deer and Fort MacMurray and worked drilling water wells within Alberta. When at home, Kim relaxed with his guitar. He also enjoyed panning for gold in his spare time. Kim was predeceased by his father, Ken McBlane on March 15, 2019, and his mother, Hazel Nykiforuk on November 21, 2022. Kim is lovingly remembered by his sister, Gloria (Ken) Rhodes, his brother, Richard of Powell River, British Columbia, his four nieces, one grandniece, and one grandnephew.
