Miss Sharon Elizabeth Watts of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at her home, with her family at her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at the age of 72 years. Sharon had a wonderful career as an Elementary School Teacher with the Red Deer Public School District No. 104 for thirty-three years. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Simon Mairs and all the Staff at the Red Deer Cancer Centre; Dr. Dion Jansen, Red Deer Home Care Team; the Red Deer Palliative Care Team; and the Pharmacy and staff at Apple Drugs for their care, compassion, and support during Sharon’s illness. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Marlene and her extended family and friends. At Sharon’s request, no Memorial Service will be held. If desired, Memorial Donations in Sharon’s honor may be made directly to the Central Alberta Humane Society at www.cahumane.com.
