1952 ~ Margaret ‘Marg’ Ellen Becker (nee Olson) ~ 2026 "A lifetime of memories that will be treasured by her family—through family gatherings, home-cooked meals, baking, gardening, sports, time spent with Archie, laughter, and all the little moments that made her who she was. She was one of a kind, and there will never be another her. Her kindness, her love, her strength, and her unmistakable personality will live on through the family she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten."

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Mike’s beloved wife and the heart of her family, Margaret ‘Marg’ Ellen Becker (nee Olson), on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the age of 73 years. Born on Friday, August 15, 1952, to parents Nels and Shirley (nee Reiman) Olson, Marg was truly a kind and loving soul who meant so much to everyone who knew her. She was always active and always on the go—she was not someone who could sit around for long. She loved keeping busy, getting out and doing things, and she always made sure she was put together and looked her best. She had a love for sports, gardening, and all animals, and she found so much happiness in caring for the people and things around her. She especially loved her dogs. She treasured the time she spent walking Bandit when he was still with her, and she absolutely adored Archie. Her love for animals was just one of the many things that showed how gentle and caring she was. Marg was an incredible cook and baker, and so many of our favorite memories will forever be connected to the food she made, the baking she shared, and the love she put into everything she did. She had the kindest heart and wouldn’t hurt a fly, but she also knew how to have a good time, laugh, and enjoy life. She had a wonderful way of making the people around her feel loved and cared for, while always bringing her own energy and personality into the room. Above all, family was at the heart of her life. She was the loving wife of Mike Becker, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her children, Brian (Trina), Kim, and Curt (Tracy); her sister, Muriel Manser (Carl); her grandchildren, Abbi (Odin), Tyler, Madi (Skyler), Carson (Katie), Mason, and Jenae; and her great-grandson, Briggston. A lifetime of memories that will be treasured by her family—through family gatherings, home-cooked meals, baking, gardening, sports, time spent with Archie, laughter, and all the little moments that made her who she was. She was one of a kind, and there will never be another her. Her kindness, her love, her strength, and her unmistakable personality will live on through the family she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Cremations entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium (Red Deer).
