Andrew ‘Andy’ Michael Wallace of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Tuesday. June 18, 2024, with his wife by his side at the age of 71 years. He was the thirteenth child of sixteen children. Andy worked out west at the South and North Caroline Gas Plants from 1981 to 2009, when he retired from full time work. Despite many health issues, he kept a brave face throughout the years. His humor and strength inspired many around him, and for the love of his family held on against insurmountable odds. Andy loved his family more than anything else, valued his friendships, was an avid reader, enjoyed the beauty of nature, and took full advantage of the summer weather to ride his scooter. Andy is lovingly remembered by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Catherine, his three sons, Michael (Samantha), Matthew, Sean, his brothers, Richard (Maureen), Bill (Margaret), George (Lucille), Bob (Heather), Allen (Heather), his sisters, Donna (Alvin), Peggy and Leslie (Joe). He will also be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Miriam, Ellen (Robb), Joanne (Bob), his brothers-in-law, Howard, Peter (Bette), Colin (Carol), Stephen (Debbie), as well as many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Andy is predeceased by his mother, Helen, his father, John, his sisters, Anita (Jim), Lillian (Vern), May (Stan), Audrey (Gib), Ann, Glenda (Dave) and his brother, Jack. A Celebration of Andys’s Life will be held at a later date.
