Shirley Ann Schiestel of Bentley, Alberta passed away at home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the age of 69 years. Shirley was born and raised in Oxbow, Saskatchewan. She moved to Delburne, Alberta to be with her sister in 1981. She followed her passions and dreams and enjoyed owning her own small business in Bentley until her retirement. Shirley was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She spread wisdom, advice and knowledge to many generations. She was always proud of her families’ accomplishments and dreams, and always sent encouragement and love to those surrounding her. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her son, Steve (Priscilla) Schiestel of Eckville, Alberta; her daughter, Angela (Mike) Wood of Bentley, Alberta; her granddaughters, Dakota, Kaitlyn and Riata; great granddaughter Freya. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Les (Sandra) Holtz of Estevan, Saskatchewan; her friend and father of her children, Les Schiestel of Eckville, Alberta; her good friend, Paige Zuber of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Edward and Dorothy Holtz, and a sister, Linda Macleod. Thank you to Sarah von Tettenborn, Brad and Carol Hanson, and Bayshore Healthcare.
