Mr. Wayne Maurice Strabel of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on May 22, 2025 at the age of 74 years. Wayne was born in Edmonton but grew up in Red Deer.
He loved anything with a motor and outdoors. He enjoyed time with family and friends, good food and good rum. Many special memories were made at his cabin west of town where he and his grandkids had many fun adventures. He loved his pets and will be happy to be reunited with his dog Remy.
He will be missed by all his family and friends.
A special thank you to his good friend Kimmie for taking such good care of him, as well as the home care nurses and doctors that allowed him to stay home as long as possible.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his son, Geordie (Leanne) Strabel of Red Deer, Alberta, his daughter, Karina (Ian) Lucas of Innisfail, Alberta, his beloved grandchildren, Emily, Chloe and Seth, as well his two sisters, Connie Parno of Airdrie, Alberta and Janet Strabel of Sundre, Alberta. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Lorna Strabel. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
