In loving memory of Evelyn Marie Mill
March 26, 1951 – September 4, 2025

We are heartbroken to lose Evie who passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Evie was born on March 26,1951, at the Olds Hospital to Fred and Marie Mill.
She attended the Bergen School until it’s closure in 1961, then continued at Sundre School, graduating in 1969.

Evelyn spent her working life in banking, working as a teller in all three banks in Sundre. After retiring from the bank, she worked at Aurora. No matter where she went, Evelyn made friends – many of whom she kept in touch with throughout her life.

Family was everything to Ev. She never missed a family gathering, always showing up with love and warmth. Ev had a heart for others. Whether there was a need in the community or in town she was there to help organize and encourage. She had a gift for helping others.

Ev loved gardening and her flowers gave her joy. Her pets were well loved and spoiled, and even the birds were never forgotten – fed year-round with care.

Evie is survived by her only sibling Phyllis and husband Ray Cormack, nephew Noel Cormack and wife Melony, his kids Hannah and Reid, niece Amy Chanda and husband Jason, and her kids Alyssa Jones and husband Kieran, Joshua, Graydon, and Jillian, one uncle, one aunt, many cousins and a host of cherished friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Clarence Simmons, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her funeral service will be on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.

Burial 12:30 at Bergen Cemetery
Service 2:00 PM at Bergen Church.

Evie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
