It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Carleen MacNeil. Carleen passed away in her home, with her loving husband by her side on February 2, 2022. Carleen’s passing came just 17 days short of her 71st birthday. A little piece of Carleen will live on in the hearts and memories of her surviving family; her husband Ray MacNeil, her children Kelly, Lloyd (& Mindy), and her grandchildren Elissa, Bella, Trace, Brock, and Vada and numerous nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary & Wilfred, and her five older siblings, Elva, Joyce, Vivian, Vince, and Bertha.
Carleen grew up in Ontario before putting down roots in Alberta, where she married and had children. She worked as an accountant for 50 plus years. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed building relationships with coworkers. But Carleen’s true passion was being a mother and Grandmother. Carleen was an exceptional grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. For years she defied the odds associated with heart disease and fought to give her grandchildren one more excessive Christmas. She will be dearly missed by all her family, friends and neighbours. A Celebration of Life will be held for Carleen at a later date.
