Mrs. Rose Mellor of Innisfail passed away at Bethany CollegeSide Long Term Care Home on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 at the age of 76 years.
Rose was born in 1949 in Linz, Austria. She grew up in Montreal, Quebec and moved to Innisfail, Alberta with her husband and son. Rose had worked in a parole office in Red Deer, Alberta and eventually moved on to work at the Bowden Institution in sentence administration. Rose enjoyed sewing, quilting, and was an avid student of the bible. She participated in many ladies bible studies and her friends were a big part of her life. Rose was a resident of Innisfail for over forty years and she liked to walk through town and the many trails with her beloved dog, Daisy.
Rose is lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Mellor or Red Deer, Alberta, her brother Eric Louanne) Koller of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, her brother, John Koller of Williamstown, Ontario, her sister Elizabeth (Ivan) Grant of Williamstown, Ontario. Rose was predeceased by her parents Peter and Cecilia Koller of Cornwall, Ontario and her husband Brian Richard Mellor of Innisfail, Alberta.
A Funeral Service will be held at Innisfail United Church on Friday, September 12, at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Tammy Allan, officiating.
