Mrs. Bertha ‘Betsy’ Wynanda Majeran passed away at the Innisfail Health Centre on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the age of 73 years. Betsy was born in Ommen, Holland on March 14, 1949 and moved to Canada in 1955. Betsy met and married her loving husband, John in 1973. They then settled down in Grande Prairie, Alberta. They started their family there, and they raised their two sons, Preston and Trevor. In 2020, they moved to Red Deer, Alberta to be closer to their family. Betsy was an avid reader, with weekly trips to the library. She loved golf, and was a long time member of the Grande Prairie Golf and Country Club. Betsy will be sadly missed by her husband, John of Red Deer, Alberta, her sons, Preston (Robyn) of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Trevor (Glenda) of Red Deer, Alberta, and her four grandchildren, Brooklynn, McKenna, Brookes, and Keaton. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews from her and John’s side of the family. No Funeral Service will be held, as she didn’t want “any fuss”.
