Mr. Victor Allan Lawrence of Red Deer County, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice, after a two-year battle with cancer, on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Victor was born in Red Deer, Alberta on March 29, 1949, to Silas and Phyllis Lawrence. He was the oldest of their seven children. Victor farmed all his life, and enjoyed his time off of the farm with friends and family when he could get away to various places. Victor was a member of the Delburne Elks for forty years, as well as a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pine Lake Branch. Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty years, Janice; his son, Wade (Kathi); his daughter, Heather (Phil); and his grandchildren, Robert and Solayah Lawrence and Emelia McCutcheon. He will also be missed by his siblings, Ray (Helen), Donald, Byron, Wendy, Mark (Wanda) and Dick (Dawn), as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Silas and Phyllis Lawrence and his mother and father-in-law, Al and Ellie Rekedal. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bill, Rick, Jack, Tony, Stuart and Dean for coming to visit Victor at home, and in the Hospice. A Celebration of Victor’s Life will be held at the Valley Centre Community Hall, 38062 Range Road 260, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
